Avenham Park Japanese Garden. UK

Hi,

Thanks for reading my Japanese garden blog.

It really is true…Japanese gardens are perfect creations with so much history. Take a look at the 2 posted photgraphs today-they underline the simplistic, soothing beauty of a Japanese garden.

The larger photograph is a fine example of a Japanese strolling garden. These are designed so all aspects of the garden and it’s design and meaning can be admired from various vantage points during a walk around the garden.

The second smaller garden photograph is of Avenham park Japanese garden in Preston,Lancashire in the UK.

Different design, but, striking all the same.

A flowering Cherry tree symbolises the change of seasons

A specific ‘cliuster’ of 3 stones in a Japanese garden signifies the ‘Holy trinity’ of Buddha, Dharma and Sangha

A hand basin-usually made of stone- is used as part of religious tradition in Japanese gardens

‘Space’ useage is fundamental in the design of the garden

Mounds symbolise mountains

There are SO many different aspects of Japanese and Zen gardens, you will find them fascinating and very very logical. Learn everything about ‘Japanese gardens’ by reading my NEW manual at : www.japzengardens.org

Japanese Gardens…The Most Beautiful In The World?

April 17, 2008 by japzen

Hi,

Thanks for reading my Japanese garden blog.

I have no doubt that Japanese gardens are the most beautiful in the world. They are so ordered and serene.

I defy anyone who visits a Japanese garden not to feel peace and tranquility- the signature qualities of these types of gardens. They may look simple and minimalist on occasions but there is a REASON for evrything in a Japanese garden. their history dates back thousands of years.

Take a look at some of the pictures posted on this blog to fully appreciate the awesome sight of a Japanese garden. I have a gallery of 100 Japanese garden photgraph’s which comes with my manual as a FREE gift. The manual itself took a lot of putting together and editing and normally I would charge around $15 for access to this beautiful set of images.

BUT it is free with my ‘Japanese Gardens’ manual and it can be yours in just a couple of minutes!! Once you have the manual and the photo gallery- you can use the images for whatever purpose you see fit with my blessing!- so why not take a look at the homepage of my website which will tell you everything you may be curious about Japanese gardens?

Take a look it’s at : WWW.JAPZENGARDENS.ORG  and it’s on ‘offer’ at the moment too!!

Any questions please feel free to e mail me at Zeniboltd@aol.com

I wish you peace and a good day.

The Sad Passing Of William Corey

April 10, 2008 by japzen

Hello,

Thanks for reading my Japanese garden blog.

It was with great sadness that I learnt a couple of days ago of the death of the eminent Japanese garden photographer William Corey. He had been suffering for sometime with cancer, an awful disease that touches so many families.

My sincere condolences go out to William’s family and friends.

I had an ‘email’ relationship with William. He allowed me to use some of his beautiful images of Japanese gardens on this blog and was professional and very courteous. We even exchanged links from this blog to his website and vice versa. Every day readers of our respective websites visit both mine and William’s webpages.

I shall miss him and would urge you to click on the link to Williams website on the right hand side of the blog page and you too will be able to appreciate his tremendous skill and eye for detail. I thank him for his help and support and hope that he rests in peace.

The link below is to information that will tell you as lot more about William and his life and work.
