Posted on

Thanks for reading my Blog on Japanese gardens you will find it packed with interesting free material and tips. Please take some time to browse my posts.

As promised today I am going to give a very basic description of the various types of Japanese gardens. They usually fall into the following categories or styles:

Pond gardens- viewing is often by boat

Tea gardens-these are always viewed and enjoyed from a path that leads to a tea ceremony pavilion or hut

Sitting gardens-these are viewed from inside a building or on a veranda for example

Strolling gardens-these always have a path that circumnavigates the garden for a total viewing experience.
