Thanks for reading my Japanese gardens blog.
I am posting today the second part of information about stone groupings in Japanese gardens. a very important aspect to become aware of or perhaps more aware of.
Buddha stone- (Mida buhtsu), the male stone
Goddess stone (Kwannon), the female stone
Child’s stone (Seishi)
the above is a very classical stone grouping in Japanese gardens, it tends to provide a focal point or inspiration for the centering of other stone groups within the garden, quite often in the ‘Guardian stone’ position. Tomorrow, Temple rock gardens and their meaning.
Have agreat day.
